Massachusetts General Law Chapter 200A, Section 9A provides Municipal Treasurers a procedure for disposing of uncashed checks held by a City which are deemed abandoned. These abandoned funds are called “Tailings”. For more information, visit malegislature.gov
Interested parties may obtain information by contacting the Medfield Treasurer/Collector at 508-906-3017 and may submit an Unclaimed Property Claim Form (found on Treasurer's website at www.town.medfield.net). Please contact Georgia Colivas, Treasurer/Collector office at 508-906-3017 with questions. The deadline to submit a claim is December 26, 2023. Checks will be issued for claims that CAN be verified.
