Field Appraiser/Administrative Assistant
Under Supervision of the Principal Assessor, the Field Appraiser/Administrative Assistant will split time between field work and office environment. Primary responsibility will include on-going maintenance of the town’s assessment inventory through data collection/measure and field inspections. Additional responsibilities will include assisting staff with general office work including processing excise tax, sewer betterment payoffs, deed management, map changes, exemptions, chapter land applications, abatements and abutters lists. Experience in assessing, appraising, real estate is highly desired and candidates should also possess excellent organizational, computer, time management, and customer service skills. Valid driver’s license and use of personal car is required. This position is twenty hours/week; benefit eligible, $21.93 to 27.46/hour, DOQ. Facilities Coordinator
The Town of Medfield Director of Facilities is seeking a full-time Facilities Coordinator to oversee the care and maintenance of municipal buildings, systems and equipment. Candidates will coordinate, direct, and supervise vendors, update and track daily work orders, assist in development of long range capital plan and capital budget and implementation of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. Applicant must possess high school diploma, three to five years’ experience in facility maintenance or equivalent and knowledge of facility systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry. Mechanic
The Town of Medfield, MA is seeking applicants for the position of Mechanic. The position works under the direction of the Highway Supervisor, Highway Crew Chief and the Lead Mechanic, and performs skilled maintenance and repair work on all standard and specialized town equipment and vehicles. This position also performs skilled manual work in operating heavy equipment for construction, maintenance and repair projects. A valid Massachusetts Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) with Air Brakes endorsement, and a 2A Hoisting License are desireable (if applicant does not possess licenses, they are required to obtain them within 6 months of hire). High School Diploma, Three to five (3- 5) years of related work experience as a mechanic (with experience in the repair and maintenance of both light and heavy motorized equipment); or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Water Operator
The Town of Medfield, MA is seeking applicants for the position of Water Operator. The position works under the direction of the Water Supervisor and Water Crew Chief, and performs all necessary work in order to maintain, inspect and repair water and wastewater systems within the Town of Medfield. This role ensures organizational efficiency in the application of prescribed policies, procedures, and methods. A valid Massachusetts Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) with Air Brakes endorsement, 2A Hoisting License and Massachusetts 2T/2D Water License are desireable (if applicant does not possess licenses, they are required to obtain them within 6 months of hire). High School Diploma, 3+ years of experience in water, wastewater or construction industry, preferably in the public sector working with local government, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Wastewater Treatment Plant Chief Operator
The Town of Medfield, MA is seeking applicants for the position of WWTP Chief Operator. The position works under the general direction of the Public Works Director, and performs managerial functions for the WWTP and pumping station operations. The position guides the wastewatersystems operations and contract activities. Experience in wastewater treatment plant operation, understanding of State and Federal rules and regulations, knowledge of SCADA and maintenance managementsoftware and knowledge of personnel and supervisory principle are desirable. Full time, benefit eligible position, Hourly range: $30.66 – 38.86 DOQ.  Five to seven years experience with wastewater operations and projects and a Massachusetts Grade 6 Wastewater Operator’slicense required.
