Dear Resident:

This letter is to inform you that water service to your home will be temporarily shut off at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, September 1, 2016.  This is being done to perform a water valve replacement at Harding Street near the railroad tracks.  We expect the replacement project will take the entire day and anticipate turning water back on by 5 p.m.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Water Department personnel are delivering shut off notices to each home affected by the shut off.  Remember to draw water sufficient for your needs before the shut off on Thursday morning.

When your water comes back on, we recommend that you slowly open all faucets and let the water run a little to clear any air that may be in the line. Please do this before flushing toilets or operating washing machines and dishwashers.

If you have any questions, please contact the Water Department at 508-906-3004.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

 Sincerely,

 The Medfield Water Department
