Medfield Transfer Station
The Medfield Department of Public Works operates a secure, safe and environmentally friendly Transfer Facility for the residents of Medfield to properly dispose of and/or recycle common household items and non-hazardous waste.
The station provides excellent recycling opportunities and we encourage all residents to exercise environmental stewardship of resources and help reduce the bulk amount of trash that is deposited on the tip floor.
The Town of Medfield has adopted SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING! It is even easier than ever to recycle. Instead of separating your bottles, cans, jars, and paper, you can now place all these items in one container and bring it with you to the transfer station.
Items that can be recycled include newspapers, mixed paper, cardboard, glass, aluminum cans, plastic, used clothing, and yard waste. Careful recycling is the best way to keep the price of your sticker at the current rate.
There will be a $50.00 fee assessed per transfer station sticker for the first vehicle and a $25.00 fee for the second vehicle. Current sticker are SILVER and expire on June 30, 2015.
To avoid waiting at the Town Hall we encourage all residents to apply for a stickers using the mail in program. Mail to: DPW Garage Office - 55 North Meadows Rd.
If you do wish to apply in person, starting December 2. 2014, the DPW Garage Office hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30 pm. The Town Hall is also open Thursday nights until 7:30 pm for your convenience.
